Erik has been active as a leader in the insurance industry for many years serving as Past President of the NYS Professional Insurance Agents and involved in the NYAIP as governing member covering the substandard auto market. Locally he has served as a Councilman and Deputy Supervisor for the Town of New Castle and in emergency services for over 50 years. He has served in local activities, Rotary, Lions, Scouting, and Little League to name a few
A graduate of Rutgers, he served as a Lt. In Korea.
As a knowledgeable professional, he has served on many industry committees for the improvement of the industry.
His goal to use this knowledge for the benefit of the clients of Nicolaysen Agency.
He has a CPCU designation which requires 30 hours of college level courses and has stayed active in continuing education in the industry.
He has lived in Westchester all his life and has seven children and fourteen grandchildren.
